The OPENRAM (Opening Research Assessment to Multi-Contexts) project officially launched its collaborative activities with a kick-off meeting held on 19 June 2026.
Funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges (MSCA-SE) programme, OPENRAM is a four-year international research project coordinated by Hacettepe University, Türkiye. The project brings together researchers and institutions from Europe, Latin America, and South Africa to advance more inclusive, responsible, and context-sensitive approaches to research assessment.
The kick-off meeting marked an important milestone for the consortium, bringing partners together to initiate their collaboration and establish a shared foundation for the project’s research and innovation activities.
At the heart of OPENRAM is the development of the Multiversatory, an open, participatory, and context-sensitive framework for research assessment. Through international staff exchanges, comparative research, technical development, and stakeholder engagement, the project aims to address inequalities in existing evaluation systems and recognise the diversity of global scientific contributions.
The kick-off meeting represents the beginning of a four-year collaborative journey towards opening research assessment to multiple contexts, perspectives, and knowledge communities.
